Are you curious about colour? Have you ever wondered why some colour combinations appeal to you while others might seem too boring or too loud? Join our Colour Wheel Adventures yarn club to learn all about colour relationships and how to confidently apply colour theory to your knitting projects, practice a variety of colourwork techniques, and create a unique patchwork blanket.

Our Colour Wheel Adventures yarn club is a year-long guided exploration of the colour wheel and colour theory in a fun and playful way! Each month you'll receive four 25g mini-skeins (three hand-dyed colours + natural) and two new blanket square patterns to play with.
Whether you're a colourwork novice or a pro at wrangling multi-colour projects, we'll provide ideas for trying out new techniques and expanding your skills. By the end of the year you'll have gathered 36 different colours and have enough squares to make your own unique lap blanket (approximately 40' x 45'/100cm x 115cm).
Debbie and Elizabeth will be your guides throughout the year, providing information and ideas for playing and experimenting with your colours. We've divided the year into 4 different themes, and each box will illustrate a concept related to that quarter's theme. We'll host Zoom meetups throughout the year to discuss what we've learned and share our colourful experiments!
About the Yarn
For this club we are offering the choice of two different sport-weight yarns. Choose from organic superwash merino or non-superwash Blue-faced Leicester. The yardage for both yarns is approximately 56m (62 yds) per 25g mini-skein. You can find more information about both yarns in our FAQs.
Subscription Options
The pricing for the yarn club is as follows (all prices in CAD, not including tax):
- Monthly subscription: $42 (automatically charged every month)
- Quarterly subscription: $119.70 (automatically charged every 3 months)
- Full year, prepaid: $428.40 (one-time payment)
Monthly and Quarterly subscriptions can be paused or canceled anytime.
All subscription options include FREE oversized lettermail shipping (untracked) within Canada. The shipping cost for US addresses is $5/month (untracked). If you wish to upgrade to tracked shipping, please contact us before subscribing.
Please note: we cannot currently accept PayPal payments through our website for yarn club subscriptions. If you would like to purchase a membership and would prefer to pay via PayPal please contact us.

What's in the boxes?
Each monthly shipment will include:
- 4 x 25g mini-skeins of sport-weight yarn (3 hand-dyed colours + 1 natural cream)
- Detailed PDF with information about the colour concepts and relationships illustrated by that month's colours
- Two blanket square patterns
- Video tutorials with tips and information about colourwork knitting techniques (intarsia, stranded knitting, embroidery, etc)
- Guidance for planning your blanket
- Q&A Zoom sessions to answer any questions you might have and to show off your work.
